Measure
Alcohol consumption: lifetime use
Alcohol experimentation during adolescence is common, but early initiation can lead to an increased risk of alcohol dependence and other health problems later in life. This measure explores the prevalence of lifetime alcohol consumption, revealing the proportion of young people who have tried alcohol at least once. Understanding the factors associated with early alcohol use can guide prevention efforts to delay or reduce alcohol consumption among adolescents.
