Measure
Cigarette-smoking: last 30 days use
Current tobacco use is a strong indicator of potential addiction and increased risk for tobacco-related diseases in adulthood. This measure assesses the frequency of recent tobacco use, highlighting the proportion of adolescents who are actively engaging in smoking behaviour. Monitoring trends in current tobacco use can inform targeted interventions aimed at reducing smoking rates among young people.
