Measure
Problematic social media use
While social media can facilitate communication and social connection, excessive or compulsive use may lead to negative outcomes for adolescent well-being. This measure assesses the prevalence of problematic social media use, characterized by addictive-like symptoms. By identifying the proportion of young people experiencing multiple symptoms of problematic use, we can gain insights into the potential risks associated with social media engagement and inform strategies to promote healthier digital habits among adolescents.
